Bulls and Blood, Dust and…Yawn

rodeo
For weeks all Girl Wonder could talk about was THE RODEO.
When are we going to the Rodeo?
How many more days until the Rodeo?
When I grow up I’m going to be a cowgirl in the Rodeo.
Can I have some candy?

(She always slips that one on there.)
At last the day arrived and we were able to mosey on over to the Molalla Buckaroo.
The name doesn’t really matter. It’s just fun to say.
Try it: Molalla Buckaroo. Mo-la-lla Buck-a-roo.
You can’t buy fun like this.
We were a few minutes late getting our seats because we had to purchase some necessities on the way in. You know like a red straw hat, a toy pony, some giant corn-dogs and a “monster-brick” of curly fries.
I really wish I could have gotten a photo of those fries, but the grease kept me from being able to grip my camera. Or regulate my heartbeat.
And so, after much ado, we finally got to see the rodeo.
Here is Newt’s reaction:

When can I ride the Ferris Wheel?

  1. My oldest daughter would have slipped in the candy line too. Great reaction shot!

I love munching from that brick of curly fries — once a year is enough though.

  2. LOL That is priceless! So exactly what my boys would say when something isn’t what they thought it was going to be.
